Now I finally got around to doing this Blog.
I will warn everyone that it will be a very political blog.
And any English, you might wish to stop reading right about now since I have a feeling a lot will have to do with the conflict in Ireland nd later on northern Ireland. One conflict you lost and one I truly hope you will loose. I would however like to point out that I do not have anything against English reading the blog nor in any other way. I wish you well in anything you do as people and as a contry, as long as it is done with honour and justice. But I am fully convinced that the Engslish troop-precence in N.I is none of those.
The name of my blog (Scóp) is the Irish Gaelic word from freedom.
Now for my first post I would like to shed some light on a subject that has been lied about, ignored and in some parts forgotten.
January 30, 1972 in the town of Derry there was a peaceful march against internment.
The simple story (easiest to keep it simple) is that the english goverment had a rule saying Irish could be put in prison without trial.
This peaceful protest march was nterupted by the 1'st paratrooper regiment who fired randomly into a crowd. Killing 13 people, and another died later due to wounds recived on that day.
